The operational part of the KNAPPE project is organised into 6 technical work packages (WP 1 to 6) each led and coordinated by one Chairperson (WP leader), acknowledged as worldwide scientists. The WP Leaders are responsible for:

      Co-ordination of the work performed in the relevant WP and activities,

    The organisation of technical meetings,

The attainment of the objectives, the quality of the deliverables, the technical reporting of the performed work to the project co-ordinator.

In KNAPPE project WP leaders are:

WP1: Thomas Ternes (Federal Institute of Hydrology, Germany)

WP2: Sebastian ZABCZYNSKI (Silesian University of Technology, Poland)

WP3: Thomas Dworak (Ecologic, Germany)          

WP4: Alistair Boxall (University of York, United Kingdom)

WP5: James CLARK (University of York, United Kingdom)

WP6: Evelyne Touraud (Armines-Alès, France)

 

They constitute the Scientific Council, responsible for the progress of the work and for the scientific coordination between workpackages. After the kick-off meeting, 4 meetings will be planned for the presentation of intermediate results and a general information and exchange forum. The chairman of the Scientific Council will be the KNAPPE co-ordinator.

 

In parallel an Executive Committee will be implemented. This committee is established to take an active part in the project by participating to the discussion, meeting, brainstorming, by checking the programme strategy and evolution

The Executive Committee will be composed of each WP leader and about ten external members (stakeholders) who correspond to potential beneficiaries of the project such as pharmaceutical industrials, water treatment industry, water quality managers, river basin managers, water agencies, regulatory agencies.
